I am interested in finding out which consumer organisations have responded so far. I would like to find out before after November, because I am compiling an article on the issue and have trouble finding continental European consumer organisations.
I am contacting the Beuc organisation too.
On the same topic of consumer input, I have been in contact with the only organnisation to my knowledge to be committed to communicating to the public about this issue, CEBRA in Denmark, who says it already involved key stakeholders, university students and members of the public in the cloning issue. This organisation says that a big issue in the possible regulatory scenarios is the tension over internationally approved meat to be imported here (a genuine possibility), which they say is as controversial likely as the tension that will be created if homegrown cloning is introduced.
Did you get the impression from the consumer associations responses thus far whether this something that is already being considered by them?
